HSV ''Sea Slice'' was an experimental United States Navy vessel, built by Lockheed Martin,〔 〕 and now in commercial service. Based on a variant of the SWATH hull design, known as "SLICE," ''Sea Slice'' is characterized by four teardrop-shaped submerged hulls—double the number seen on most previous designs. According to the US Navy, the design reduces waves and drag, which allows a SWATH vessel to "...operate at higher speeds while retaining their characteristic low motions in a seaway". Designed for operation in the same area as, and mount similar armament to, a littoral combat ship-type corvette,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/sea-slice.htm )〕 current weapon options include the Millennium Gun and the NetFires System, intended to launch Lockheed's (now cancelled) Loitering Attack Munition. In 2002, ''Sea Slice'' was withdrawn and made available for purchase for civilian use for $180,000 (required ) In 2015 ''Sea Slice'' was sold to a Danish company, Advanced Offshore Solutions ApS, for conversion to a wind farm support vessel.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.equasis.org/EquasisWeb/restricted/ShipSearch?fs=ShipInfo )〕 ==See also== * ''Sea Shadow'' (IX-529) * ''Sea Fighter'' (FSF-1) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Sea Slice」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
